Established in 1982
2025 marks the 43rd year of business for The Chatham Berry Farm! Over the years this farm has grown and diversified from a humble tractor pulled cart to a thriving, multi-generational family owned & operated business! Visit our year round farm store for gourmet & specialty foods, fresh fruits & vegetables, local cheeses, milk & dairy products, our own pesticide-free & hydroponically grown greens, local honey, maple syrup, fresh bread & baked goods, a full-service meat & seafood department, and don't forget to try one of our homemade soups or salads made right in our farm kitchen. Check out our garden center for a great selection of houseplants & herbs, pottery, soil, heirloom seeds, gardening supplies & more!
Pesticide-free berries & U-Pick fruit available seasonally. The Greenhouse Cidery is located right next door to the farm store. Reopening April 17th, the cidery creates delicious small batch hard cider and also features local NY craft beer, wine & spirits!

Founded in 1982 by Joseph Gilbert, The Chatham Berry Farm has been providing Columbia County and the surrounding areas with local, healthy and wholesome food for 40 years.

Farm Evolution
|
Starting out as a tractor-pulled fruit stand, the farm has evolved into a fully-functional year round vegetable & fruit farm. It has undergone many changes, including the addition of a year round, recently renovated specialty food store, a garden center, farm kitchen, full-service meat and seafood department and production greenhouses.

Family Farm

The Chatham Berry Farm is a family owned & operated farm. Joe's two sons Jon and Mike are integral in the day-to-day management of the farm business. We're a family owned & operated business invested in the land we care for, in the people we serve and in the future of this community.
